Laena Wellspring, Humble Earth Priestess

Laena Wellspring, the most humble of origins among her trio of closest friends, stands as a testament to the blend of two distinct elven lineages—High Elf and Wood Elf. Raised on a farm nestled at the crossroads of the high cities and the deep forests of Peltas, she found herself drawn to the path of the priesthood, serving the earth god, Hokreus.

Her training as a priestess goes beyond learning the sacred doctrines; it involves channeling the divine magic bestowed by Hokreus, which she uses to bless her people and confront the enemies of her god.

But what really made her dedicated and passionate to be in her profession (or, rather, calling) was tragic event when she and her close friend Nahila were captured by orcs during the Peltasian Civil War. Spared from sacrificial fate by her budding magic, Laena saw their eventual rescue as divine intervention. While Laena turned to faith, Nahila struggled with trauma, finding solace in self-destructive habits. Laena continues to visit her friend, hoping to guide her back to healing and faith.

Though being a tad soft-spoken and introverted compared to her dearest friends, Deru Oakwind and Lyn Dawnbough, Laena is often the one with the sharpest wit. Despite her reserved nature, her occasional bluntness is well-known and affectionately tolerated by her companions. Standing shorter than both Deru and Lyn, they feel a natural protectiveness over her, finding her both endearing and adorable, a dynamic that has only deepened their inseparable bond over time.
